Description

Just a quickie.

After watching Tobuscus' walkthrough of Amnesia for the second time, I decided to make some fanart that I'd wanted to make for quite a while.

I LOVE how when Daniel remembers what he's done, he gets all nauseated and woozy.

I love Amnesia, and I played the game a lot, but I never played its sequel, A Machine for Pigs. I'm thinking about playing it, though. I remember these scenes, and there were so gross and terrible. In my opinion, what makes this scene even more horrifying is that all of these devices were used by actual human beings in REAL LIFE.

I can't believe that human beings used these kinds of tortures back in the old days. They were all so monstrous and disgusting. It's just too horrifying and grotesque to believe WE humans did these things to OTHER humans. I remember reading on Wikipedia about the Brazen Bull torture device, where the creator of the horrible device got killed by it himself. Probably because whoever killed him thought it was such a sick device or something. But I don't really think anyone, no matter how bad a crime they would commit, should even go through such despicable devices. I also feel the same about tarring-and-feathering, only that doesn't count because it is for humiliation, not torture. Though I think it is possibly just as bad because 1: People were dumping HOT boiling TAR on a naked person, 2: They beat the tar in with pillows so that it's stuck to your body along with the feathers, 3: The tarred person is then to be paraded around town tied to a WOODEN POLE so that their body parts are splintered by the wood, and 4: he or she can end up peeling their own skin off accidently when they try and scrub the tar off of themselves depending on how sticky the tar is, making them have horrible burns ALL OVER THE BODY and possible skinned and bleeding areas! Jeez...

I only saw a scene of a person getting tarred-and-feathered on television in a TV show my parents had been watching in one episode, so I'm probably wrong about a few things here, but the scene was done so realistically and powerfully (in my opinion) that I couldn't help but feel bad for the character. And I read a bit about it on Wikipedia.
Though I'm sure people must've done just as sick things back then, I still at the same time don't think it's fine to stoop as low as any of these kinds of tortures and humiliation devices. They deserved prison, but not...... whatever the creepy-as-fuck this is. XD I'm really glad we don't do these things anymore. Oh, and then there was the Iron Maiden device... Jesus Christ. O.O

And what makes this flashback worse is that the people Daniel and Alexander were torturing were most likely NOT criminals! Alexander was lying the entire time to Daniel, making Daniel help him do all these horrible disgusting things. :(
I love Daniel's expression. He sure as hell does not like what he is seeing, and I can't blame him. Keep up the awesome work. :)
